Hampton Inn Corydon

We stay at this hotel quite often, 4/5 times a year, visiting family in the area. I cannot say enough about the staff. Especially the young lady checking us in, Angie. I know there is quite a bit of turnover in this industry and this is the first time we have encountered Angie, but if you want pleasant, courteous and very helpful employees, you will make sure she is treated with the respect she deserves. She was BRILLIANT in helping this old woman with her keys and anything else we needed. One thing I do have to criticize about this hotel and it has NOTHING to do with Angie or the other staff. It's the pool room. My God, that room needs some kind of ventilation. Fans, an open window, ANTHING !! Our nephew who is 12 wants to swim each time we stay here. We cannot spend more than 20 minutes in there with him because of the heat and HORRENDOUS chlorine smell. Please, I'm sure something can be done about that. You can't even open the fire door at the end of the room for some air. It really is terrible. We love this hotel because of it's location and we know our room will always be clean but that pool room needs some work !!

A pretty basic Hampton Inn except the WiFi which wasn't able to maintain a connection for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. This was across several devices running several different OSs so it was their end, not mine. Plus, everything worked fine the day before and after at other locations. Unacceptable so won't be back to this Hampton Inn location.

It's a Hampton Inn, so you know it won't be awful. But this was by far the most I've ever paid for a Hampton Inn. Like by more than $50. And it's just a roadside hotel in small town Indiana. No Hampton Inn should ever be more than $150 per night unless it's in Times Square or next to the Eiffel Tower. The facilities are very dated and in need of refreshing, the bed is kinda hard, and the pillows are terrible. However, as all Hamptons go it is clean. Serviceable as a one-night stay on a road trip.
